Grand Cayman Island

Christopher and I were lucky enough to get to visit Grand Cayman Island and stay at the Ritz-Carlton, it was fabulous and so much fun!

I loved this shelf above the bathroom sink.
 Chickens on the golf course.

A house on the golf course
 Lots of iguanas everywhere.

My favorite chandelier at the Ritz.
The food was out of control.

 Katie holding a stingray.
Chris holding a baby sea turtle.

We went to a car museum, it was someone's personal collection.
There is a town called Hell on Grand Cayman Island.

Love & Chickens

Our chickens have arrived!  We have sixteen total.  Buff Orpington's and Rhode Island Red's.
They have grown a lot since these photos were taken.  They aren't in the chicken house just yet.  We have them in the shop right now under a heat lamp.  Speaking of the chicken house, Kris built it when it was cold outside.  It's warm out now....chicken coop has swelled up.  It needs some minor (hopefully) adjustments.
Kris thinks there might be three roosters in the mix.  Uh oh.  Wouldn't it be funny if you ended up with a rooster in your yard sometime this summer?  tee hee

A little photo shoot tonight while soaking up the evening sunlight. At last it feels like Spring!!  And looks like Spring!!

Spring Has Sprung!

April
by John Updike

It's spring! Farewell
To chills and colds!
The blushing, girlish
World unfolds

Each flower, leaf
And blade of sod-
Small letters sent
To her from God.

The sky's a herd
Of prancing sheep,
The birds and fields
Abandon sleep,

And jonquils, tulips,
Daffodils
Bloom bright upon
The wide-eyed hills.

All things renew.
All things begin.
At church, they bring
The lilies in.

Sophia is so happy it's Spring!

We kicked off our week by grilling out on Sunday evening.

 Watch your heels!

We (ok, Kris and Sophia) are building a chicken house.  This is the blueprint that Sophia drew up.  They have been working hard this week on it.  More pictures to come!

On the menu: grilled asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, grilled ciabatta bread with bruschetta and grilled steaks.  Double dang delicious!!
Notice the bottle in the background?
REDD'S Apple Ale
Try it.
Kris gave his golf cart a makeover.  We call it his Duck Dynasty golf cart!  If you haven't watched Duck Dynasty you are missing out!  Wednesday nights on A&E.

Cheers!
Love,
Sarah
